The System Engineer will be responsible for assisting the systems engineers in project engineering tasks in co-operation with regional engineers and Product Planning / Development. These tasks will include systems architecture design, bid delivery schedules, engineering resource estimates, and technical specification of sub-contracts for all Mass Transit bids ranging from LRV Control Systems to CBTC and Automated Moving Block systems with engineering content for both wayside and trainborne content.

The Assistant System Engineer must be prepared to make business trips, typically for two or three days at relatively short notice

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE (including educational level)

- Knowledge of Mass Transit signalling technology and engineering
- Proven track record in working with customers in Mass Transit/Urban Rail
- Relevant engineering qualification (electrical engineering, computer science) or experience in engineering type activities
- Knowledge of engineering processes
- Knowledge of safety rules and engineering standards
